A while back, we wrote a blog about five of our favorite productivity apps. We still love all the software listed in that blog, but there’s just so much more out there that we’d like to share. So without further ado, here are seven of the best Windows 10 apps for business.
7 Windows 10 Apps You Need To Try
1. RemindMe
Anyone with a busy to-do list can make use of RemindMe. It has an elegantly simple interface in which you can enter upcoming deadlines to receive periodic reminders. These include relative reminders (such as “do task in 10 minutes”) and absolute reminders (like “do task on March 3, 2017”).
2. Splashtop Business
Splashtop Business is one of the best Windows 10 apps for remote desktop access. It allows you to access your work computer from your home computer or laptop, and even use the software installed on it. Your office computer doesn’t even have to be running to connect, because Splashtop can turn it on remotely.
3. VLC Media Player
Since Windows Media Center is no longer available in Windows 10, you need an alternative to play mixed media content. One of the top Windows 10 apps you can use is VLC Media Player. It’s free, and it allows you to view basically every type of media file.
4. Zoho Invoice
Zoho Invoice is hugely helpful for the financial management of a business. It helps you create web-based invoices, send payment reminders to customers and receive payments online. You can also run real-time reports to gain critical insights based on the payments you receive and expenses you record through the software.
5. Soda PDF 3D Reader
Many people prefer real books to eBooks because they love the feel of turning over new pages. With Soda PDF 3D Reader, you can retain that feel with over 300 types of digital files. It converts files to PDF, then allows you to gracefully flip through the pages as if you were reading a book. It also connects to other Windows 10 apps, like OneNote and Dropbox.
6. GoToMeeting
For last-minute, impromptu meetings, look no further than GoToMeeting to get the whole team on board. Like many other conferencing solutions, GoToMeeting has an onscreen sharing feature. However, what makes it unique is that its interface allows for meetings to be started in seconds. It’s also free.
7. LastPass
If you’re at all familiar with TCI Technologies, you know that we’re pretty much obsessed with cybersecurity, so this list wouldn’t be complete without mentioning it.
Believe it or not, one of the easiest ways to keep your computer safe is just by setting a strong password. A truly secure password is more or less a random combination of letters, numbers and special characters, like the dollar sign or exclamation point. In other words, it’s nearly impossible to remember a good password unless you store it somewhere.
That’s where LastPass comes in. It’s a free password storage system that keeps your credentials nice and organized so your desk is not cluttered with post-it notes.
